Summary
H&H is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their team in New York City. The role involves providing technical guidance and managing engineering projects throughout their life cycle.
About the Role
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical guidance to less experienced team members, collaborating with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects, interacting with clients and stakeholders, performing quality control reviews, preparing detailed plans and construction documents, and conducting engineering calculations. You will also develop contract specifications and occasionally visit field sites.
About You
Required:
- BS in Civil Engineering required; MS preferred.
- PE License required (preferably in NY).
- A minimum of six years of Structural Engineering experience with a focus on bridge design.
Preferred:
- Experience in conceptual, preliminary, and final design and plan production of bridge projects following Federal and State code.
- Experience with load rating of regular and complex bridges.
- Experience with bridge codes used in load ratings: AASHTO Manual for Bridge Evaluation, AASHTO LRFD Specifications and AASHTO Standard Specifications.
- Experience with AREMA.
- Experience in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD.
- Experience with Finite Element Analysis software such as CSiBridge, Midas Civil, or Leap Suite of Software (Steel, Concrete).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
