Summary
Stratus® is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join their team in Richmond, VA. The role involves leading technical aspects of engineering projects, providing expert-level guidance, and mentoring junior staff.
About the Role
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for developing engineering designs for complex projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, preparing detailed engineering drawings, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. You will also mentor junior engineers, conduct quality control reviews, and participate in client meetings to ensure expectations are met.
About You
Required:
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or SE Licensure
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited university
- 7-10 years of experience in engineering design and project management
Preferred:
- Experience in fuels projects is highly preferred, and experience in building and industrial design is a plus
- Familiarity with federal project design and reviewing procedures
- Ability to select and utilize various structural design software such as RISA, RAM, Tedds, CAESAR, etc.
