About the Role
As a Senior Tax Associate, you will work directly with clients and business owners, applying your professional knowledge to various tax engagements. Your responsibilities will include managing and reviewing the work of junior staff, preparing complex tax returns, consulting on accounting policies, identifying potential audit issues, and representing clients during IRS audits. You will also prepare financial projections, develop tax strategies, and ensure the accuracy of all tax filings.
About You
Required:
- Strong desire to become a partner in a boutique tax practice.
- CPA or must be on track for CPA license.
- 5+ years in tax work, accounting, financial analysis or similar preparatory work.
- Solid understanding of accounting and auditing principles, including GAAP, GAAS, and SSARS.
- Ability to research tax rules and accounting practices using various resources.
- Advanced proficiency with CCH ProSystem fx, QuickBooks, Excel, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred:
- Experience in managing NPO audits and preparing financial statements.
- Attention to detail and disciplined documentation procedures.
