Summary
SMBC Group is seeking a Senior Technical Archive Specialist to join their team in Charlotte, NC. The role involves implementing mission-critical archiving infrastructure to enhance compliance, reduce costs, and improve system performance across the organization.
About the Role
As a Senior Technical Archive Specialist, you will lead the Archive360 implementation for data lifecycle management across 130+ critical applications. Your responsibilities will include designing classification policies, configuring secure landing zones for data ingestion, integrating archiving systems with existing infrastructure, and automating processes to ensure regulatory compliance. You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including Legal, Compliance, and Risk teams, to deliver enterprise-scale solutions.
About You
Required:
- Minimum 5+ years' experience in IT infrastructure with focus on Archiving, Storage management, backup, and recovery.
- Hands-on experience implementing and administering enterprise archive platforms.
- Demonstrated knowledge of data lifecycle management methodologies in financial services environments.
- Experience working with regulatory frameworks including SEC, FINRA, GDPR, and CCPA requirements.
- Strong understanding of storage technologies, backup systems, and retention management.
Preferred:
- Archive360 certification or direct implementation experience.
- Experience with Rubrik backup software and policy management.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB and integration capabilities.
- Background in records management and information governance.
- Experience with data classification frameworks and metadata management.
