About the Role
As a Senior Technical Manager, Environmental Project Manager, you will lead project teams, manage site selection and route evaluation processes, oversee project permitting, engage with regulatory agencies, conduct market analysis, manage stakeholders, ensure project documentation, advocate for continuous improvement, and contribute to business development efforts. You will also be required to travel within the Midwest for site visits and public meetings.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Planning, Engineering, Environmental Science, Project Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in project management within the energy sector, with a track record of success in energy projects.
- Familiarity with energy market dynamics in the Midwest, including regulatory structures and permitting pathways.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate complex stakeholder landscapes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
Preferred:
- Experience with renewable energy projects or emerging technologies.
- Demonstrated expertise in permitting, routing/siting studies, and report writing for energy projects.
- Experience planning and participating in public meetings and open houses.
- Strong working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements affecting energy infrastructure.
