Summary
WSP USA is seeking multiple Part-Time Senior Transit Inspectors to join their National Fleet Facilities Team. The role involves providing technical assistance and physical inspection tasks for vehicle inspection and assessment of client vehicles and equipment.
About the Role
As a Senior Transit Inspector, you will be responsible for reviewing and inspecting specific component systems, ensuring overall vehicle readiness and compliance with contract requirements. Your daily tasks will include physically inspecting work completed by repair technicians, performing functionality tests, compiling inspection data, and adhering to WSP's Code of Conduct.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma.
- 10 to 15 years in the transit or related heavy duty industry as a maintenance technician.
- Proficient knowledge in bus manufacturing, repair and maintenance techniques and requirements.
- Ability to work in a fast paced multi-unit industrial environment.
- Project management experience with small to mid-level projects.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Highly capable self-leadership with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and adhere to QA/QC standards.
- Proficiency in MSFT programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in semi-confined spaces.
Preferred:
- ASE Master certification in Medium/Heavy duty or Transit Bus.
- Experience managing small to mid-size projects.
- 40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training.
- Basic First Aid and Adult CPR Training.
