Summary
WSP in the U.S. is seeking a Senior Transmission Line Project Engineer to join their team in the Southeast region, with flexible office locations including Orlando, FL. The role involves providing technical leadership for high-voltage overhead transmission line projects.
About the Role
As a Senior Transmission Line Project Engineer, you will lead and execute engineering projects up to 765kV, manage project schedules, conduct project meetings, coordinate with clients, and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards. You will also support project managers with status reports and develop client relationships to win future work.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or closely related discipline.
- 5-7 years of experience in the transmission field managing projects and leading multi-disciplinary teams.
- Professional Engineering (PE) licensure.
- Strong understanding of transmission line fundamentals and PLS-CADD operation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software suite.
Preferred:
- Field program planning, management, and execution experience.
- Subcontractor management experience.
- Cost estimating and scheduling skills.
- Field experience.
- MBA degree from an accredited university.
- Involvement in technical societies (IEEE, CIGRE, ASCE).
- Experience using ArcGIS, AutoCAD/MicroStation, and Foundation Design Software.
