About the Role
The role involves managing service delivery aligned with Social Determinants of Health through trauma-informed care, facilitating shared governance communication, preparing required reports for Head Start, coordinating eligibility, recruitment, selection, enrollment, and attendance activities, monitoring ERSEA data compliance, blending administration and program functions for efficiency, writing proposals and reports, and overseeing day-to-day center operations for children aged birth to five years.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in early childhood, child growth and development, or related human service field with 18 college hours in Early Childhood Development.
- Minimum of two years experience in the respective field.
- Current Pediatric CPR and First Aid Certification.
- Completion and maintenance of CLASS Reliability within 6 months of hire.
- Experience in collaborative relationships, organization, and planning.
- Previous program management and direct services leadership experience.
- Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards, Head Start Act, and Texas Department of Family Protective Services Minimum Rules and Standards.
- Familiarity with ChildPlus, Microsoft Office, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Experience working with children aged 0-5 years.
- Knowledge of agency and community resources and cultural sensitivity.
- State of Texas vehicle operator's license and proof of liability insurance as applicable.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Fluency in English and Spanish (read, write, and speak).
- Certificate or license by the appropriate State agency as applicable.
