About the Role
As a Shelter Coordinator, you will oversee staff, coordinate services, and implement programs that address the diverse needs of individuals experiencing homelessness or crisis. You will be responsible for ensuring that all intake and assessments are entered in HMIS, maintaining accurate records, conducting regular assessments of resident needs, and collaborating with various teams to ensure the shelter operates smoothly and is audit-ready.
About You
Required:
An associate degree in human services or related field is required.
Minimum five years of experience providing services to the homeless or in a related human service field.
Demonstrated supervisory skills, providing direction and leadership.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with residents, staff, and community partners.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field.
Experience in behavior management strategies for diverse populations.
Familiarity with addiction counseling techniques.
