Secur-Serv is seeking a SIEM Engineer to join their team in Charlotte, NC. The role involves assisting with log migration and detection strategy for customers, ensuring log sources are onboarded and ingested into XSIAM, and designing correlation rules to protect against threats.
About the Role
As a SIEM Engineer, you will work closely with the technical lead to develop log ingestion strategies and contribute to detection strategies based on industry best practices. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and optimizing log sources, creating and tuning correlation rules, and collaborating with teams to ensure product adoption. You will also create technical documentation and may need to travel to customer meetings and workshops as needed.
About You
Required:
- 5+ years of direct SIEM experience or a similar combination of experience.
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
- Experience deploying and integrating SIEM solutions at enterprise level.
- Ability to create and develop correlation and detection rules within a SIEM.
Preferred:
- Experience with SIEM technologies such as Splunk or IBM QRadar.
- Knowledge of Security Analysis & Response in endpoint, network, and cloud environments.
- Relevant bachelor's degree or industry recognized qualifications (CISSP, GIAC, etc.).
- Strong Regular Expression skills.
