About You
- Valid and current approval by ISBE as an Educational Sign Language Interpreter.
- Ability to interpret in classrooms for related services or other mainstream situations for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Demonstrated knowledge of ASL, Signed English, and educational methods for hearing-impaired students.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Experience working with deaf or hard-of-hearing students in an educational setting.
- Knowledge of child development and Deaf Culture.

Our school system encompasses 68.8 square miles and educates students from all of Oswego, and portions of Aurora, Joliet, Montgomery, Plainfield and Yorkville.
