Summary
Momentive is seeking a Site People Operations and Labor Leader to lead HR and labor relations functions at their Sistersville plant in Friendly, WV. The role involves developing and implementing employee relations strategies for over 400 team members.
About the Role
As the Site People Operations and Labor Leader, you will be responsible for advising local leadership on HR processes, managing employee and labor relations, overseeing the recruitment process, and ensuring compliance with labor laws. You will also facilitate training and development programs, manage the employee life cycle, and drive continuous improvement in HR processes.
About You
Required:
- 7+ years of progressive, hands-on experience within a manufacturing site, including labor relations and union activities.
- Significant experience managing the union grievance process.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, labor relations, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge of West Virginia state and federal labor laws, especially the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).
- Strong influencing skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in labor relations, industrial relations, or a related field.
