About the Role
As a Central Sterile Processing Technician, you will operate sterilization equipment, document sterilization records, perform biological and chemical testing, assemble and wrap instrument trays, clean and reassemble patient care equipment, maintain crash carts, manage workflow and inventory using tracking systems, support Operating Room setup, train new staff, and uphold safety and infection control standards.
About You
Required:
- Completion of a Central Sterile Processing program or minimum 1 year of Central Sterile Processing experience or at least 6 months as a Central Sterile Processing Assistant.
- Knowledge of aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures.
- Ability to lift/move up to 30 lbs frequently.
- Proficiency with computerized equipment and tracking systems.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
Preferred:
- Certification through IAHCSMM or CSPBD.
