Summary
FNA Group is seeking a Small Engine Technician to join their R&D Lab team in Decatur, AR, working the 2nd shift from 3:30pm to 12:00am, Monday through Friday. The role focuses on supporting research and development by testing and evaluating small engines to ensure high-quality outdoor power equipment products.
About the Role
The Small Engine Technician will set up, run, and monitor testing of small engines, oversee performance and life testing, coordinate the use of various test equipment, conduct product evaluations to verify compliance with specifications, gather and document test data, maintain test equipment and lab supplies, keep the work area clean and organized, evaluate line-rejected engines to determine failure causes and warranty issues, manage warranty paperwork, work towards becoming an authorized service center for warranty repairs, and perform other assigned duties.
About You
Required:
- Ability to use simple and complex test equipment.
- Good mechanical skills and aptitude with small engines.
- Pass in-house blueprint reading and shop math test.
- Good oral and written communication skills; ability to work well with others.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to read and interpret documents.
- Basic electrical experience.
- High school diploma or GED.
Preferred:
- General computer knowledge with spreadsheet and word processing programs.
- Degree is a plus.
