Summary
Amentum is seeking a Smart Building Lead to support their industrial operations & maintenance team at their Lafayette, Indiana location. The role involves acting as an Internet of Things (IoT) SME to support facility communications and critical equipment maintenance.
About the Role
As a Smart Building Lead, you will be responsible for developing strategies to sustain low operating costs and improve asset management. Your tasks will include gathering machine and equipment data, creating visualization screens for real-time site proficiency, and leading continuous improvement activities. You will also perform root cause analysis, manage facility shutdowns, and communicate effectively with management and clients.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facility Management, Industrial Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Six years of related experience.
- Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as MAXIMO or EAMS.
- Experience with developing cost savings opportunities and performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Willingness to work overtime, holidays, various shifts, and weekends.
Preferred:
- Extensive experience in equipment technology, programming, and software management.
- Experience identifying and implementing IoT sensor technology.
- Strong technical background in industrial/manufacturing/research facilities.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical schematics.
- Experience with project management and employee supervision.
