About the Role
As a hospice social worker, you will ensure that patients reach the end of life with their affairs in order, providing support for finances, funeral arrangements, and navigating the grieving process. You will work primarily in patients' homes or assisted living facilities, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
About You
Required:
- Masters of Social Work from an accredited school.
- At least one year of social work experience in a health care setting.
- Valid social work license as required by state regulations.
Preferred:
- Experience as a social worker with terminally ill patients and their families.
- Experience in providing counseling and support to patients and families.
- Empathy and compassion in dealing with seriously ill patients and their families.
