About the Role
As a Software Architect - Embedded Systems, you will be responsible for defining and implementing multicore software architecture roadmaps, leading analysis of alternatives for virtualization and secure computing frameworks, and establishing technical standards for interoperability across embedded platforms. You will direct multidisciplinary engineering teams, oversee software architecture projects from concept through deployment, and collaborate with various teams to ensure seamless integration of secure software frameworks into embedded platforms.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 12+ years of experience in embedded software architecture and systems engineering.
- Demonstrated expertise in modern multicore software architectures, cybersecurity frameworks, virtualization, and hypervisor design.
- Proven track record architecting complex systems of systems for mission-critical applications.
- Eligible for U.S. DoD security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).
Preferred:
- Ph.D. or M.S. in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
- Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and secure partitioning frameworks.
- Knowledge of trusted computing, encryption, and cyber-resilient architectures.
- Background in FPGA/ASIC integration with multicore software frameworks.
- Experience working with NASA, DoD, or other government partners on secure embedded systems.
- Track record of innovation demonstrated through patents, publications, or successful technology transitions.
