Summary
Jabil is seeking a Software Development Engineer (Backend/Fullstack) to join their team in Austin, TX. The role involves leading software development, deployment, and maintenance for manufacturing test software.
About the Role
As a Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for operational and development support for manufacturing test software, maintaining existing code, developing new features, and establishing best practices for high-quality software development. You will also contribute to improving software build methodologies and procedures.
About You
Required:
- BS degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field; MS preferred.
- 10+ years experience in a software development/test capacity with enterprise server, storage or networking products.
- Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot/Quarkus framework, JPA/Hibernate, JDBC, React, REST, Docker, and Git.
Preferred:
- Experience with Graal (native compilation), Microservices, Event Driven Architecture (Message Bus, nats.io, Kafka etc), and Virtual Threads.
- Knowledge of testing (unit, integration, mocking), deployment strategies, observability, security, analytics, and AI.
- Skilled in at least one other programming language.
