Summary
Formlabs is seeking a Software Engineer - Print Pipeline to join their team in Somerville, MA. The role involves developing world-class desktop 3D printer software with a focus on geometric algorithms.
About the Role
As a Software Engineer - Print Pipeline, you will be responsible for developing and optimizing complex algorithms for the PreForm desktop application. You will collaborate with R&D teams to integrate new features, ship value-generating features to users, and work with Product Management to define the long-term feature roadmap.
About You
Required:
- Extensive experience writing C++ code for desktop applications.
- Experience developing 3D graphics or computational geometry.
- Ready to collaborate with a wide range of technical disciplines, including Software, Hardware, and Design teams.
- Experienced with object-oriented design and development.
Preferred:
- Excited to study computer science journal articles to supplement algorithm development.
- Experience with solid mechanics or FEM.
- Experience with image processing.
