Summary
Cohere Technology Group is seeking a Cyber Software Engineer to join their team in Cherry Hill, NJ. The role involves supporting advanced cyber capability development and building secure tools across Windows and Linux environments.
About the Role
As a Cyber Software Engineer, you will design, develop, test, and maintain secure software capabilities for cyber operations. Your responsibilities will include low-level systems programming, collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting reverse engineering, and participating in Agile development cycles. You will leverage scripting and compiled languages for tool development and support DoD stakeholders with technical implementation.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in software development.
- Proficient in Python, C, C++, Java.
- Familiarity with secure coding practices, reverse engineering, and x86 assembly.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with tools such as Ghidra, Wireshark, XKEYSCORE, or similar.
- Experience with custom protocol development, vulnerability analysis, or cyber toolkits.
- Knowledge of containerization (e.g., Docker), CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
- Background in training or mentoring junior developers.
- Prior military or defense contracting experience is a plus.
