About the Role
As a Software Engineer Embedded/Network Systems I (Intern), you will gain hands-on experience with hardware-software integration and low-level networking technologies. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining critical software and tools that ensure hardware compatibility, network performance, and security for Cisco's core products. Your work will directly contribute to Cisco's leadership in trusted, scalable networking technologies.
About You
Required:
- Currently enrolled in a certification program or undergraduate degree program.
- Proficiency in C programming and experience with embedded Linux.
- Familiarity with network principles & concepts, routing protocols, and general networking concepts.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools and scripting languages (such as Python or Bash).
- Understanding of DevSecOps practices.
Preferred:
- Conceptual understanding or hands-on experience with AI/ML.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles and security protocols.
- Experience with FPGA development.
- Knowledge of signal and power integrity, and PCB design.
