About the Role
As a Software Engineer III, you will design, profile, optimize, and troubleshoot image acquisition pipelines, engage with external vendors, and develop embedded control software for high-throughput biological instrumentation. You will collaborate with various engineering teams to create functioning prototypes and contribute to the entire software lifecycle, ensuring the development of clean and maintainable code.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or scientific discipline with 4 years experience; OR Master’s degree with 2 years of experience in software development.
- Experience in Embedded/Firmware Development.
- Proficiency in Modern C++, Python3, and Linux.
Preferred:
- Experience with Machine Vision or Scientific cameras, GenICam/GenTL stack over USB3Vision, GigE Vision, CXP, CameraLink.
- Knowledge of classical control theory and experience implementing control algorithms (e.g. PID, lead-lag, MPC).
- Familiarity with digital signals processing (DSP) and laboratory test equipment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Interest in biology and DNA sequencing.

- Base pay range of $159k–$215k, depending on skills and experience.
