Nuro is seeking a Software Engineer, Onboard Infrastructure to join their team in Mountain View, CA. The role involves developing and optimizing software for onboard systems, performance, and devices platform for self-driving technology.
About the Role
As a Software Engineer, Onboard Infrastructure, you will be responsible for providing a reliable and high-performance platform for autonomy teams, optimizing performance of AV software, and laying the foundation for onboard software for sensor and compute platforms. This includes collaborating with software, hardware, and systems/safety teams to ensure integration and performance.
About You
Required:
- 2+ years of relevant industry experience in addition to a Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Robotics, or related field.
- Strong C++ skills.
- Experience in large-scale distributed systems, computer architecture, advanced algorithms using C++ and Python, and software performance tuning.
Preferred:
- Experience in highly-concurrent, multi-processor, and multi-threaded environments.
- Familiarity with profiling and tracing tools and infrastructure (perf, eBPF, Perfetto, pprof, NVIDIA Nsight Systems/Compute).
- Knowledge of robotics software frameworks and hardware components.
