PTR Global is seeking a Software Engineer-Other - Intermediate (Java Developer with AWS) to join their team in Columbus, Ohio. The role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications with a focus on operational stability.
About the Role
As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for implementing and debugging code using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices patterns. You will develop event-based architectures, ensure system scalability and resilience, and work with both RDBMS and NoSQL databases. Your role will also involve utilizing Test Driven Development (TDD) methodologies and leveraging AWS services to deliver robust solutions while adopting agile methodologies.
About You
Required:
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with 4+ years of applied experience.
- Proficiency in Java and experience with ReactJS for front-end development.
- Demonstrable ability to code in one or more programming languages.
- Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a corporate environment.
- Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and cloud-native technologies.
Preferred:
- Practical experience with AWS services.
- Exposure to Behavior Driven Development (BDD) using Cucumber.
- Experience with micro frontend UI technologies such as ReactJS, Node.js, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Ability to design and develop highly scalable, resilient, and low-latency applications.
