Summary
Nightwing is seeking a Software Engineer to join their team in Sterling, VA. The role involves supporting the design, development, and deployment of advanced cybersecurity capabilities, particularly with Atlassian tools like Jira, Jira Align, and Confluence.
About the Role
As a Software Engineer, you will act as the subject matter expert for Atlassian tools, provide recommendations for sustainable architecture, and support day-to-day operations and strategic planning. You will collaborate within an Agile Scrum team, convert proprietary vendor code, create interfaces, and develop high-quality technical documentation.
About You
Required:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Active DoD Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
- 6+ years of software development experience
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with Java development
- 2+ years of experience with Agile software development
- Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Jira Align, Confluence)
- Solid understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems
- Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure)
- Ability to work collaboratively across agencies and locations
Preferred:
- Experience with Automation for Jira and Groovy
- Technical understanding of account management and user authentication solutions
- Experience with JavaScript, XML, and SQL
- Familiarity with Continuous Development / Continuous Integration concepts
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) services
- Experience working with HSPD-12
- DHS experience
