About the Role
As a Software Engineering Manager, you will provide technical leadership to major projects, manage a team of engineers, and contribute to product strategy. You will oversee the deployment of large-scale projects, advocate for Spanner's evolution towards cognitive operations, and ensure the observability infrastructure can proactively introspect and analyze anomalies.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
- 3 years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure or distributed systems.
- 2 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 3 years of experience working in a matrixed organization.
- Experience with Distributed Databases, AI Platform, and Distributed Storage.
