About the Role
As a Software Sales Representative, you will serve as the primary relationship manager for prospective and existing government clients, owning the full sales lifecycle from initial outreach through contract execution. You will develop and maintain long-term relationships with tax assessors-collectors, appraisal district leadership, IT staff, finance teams, and elected officials. Your responsibilities will include leading sales strategy, conducting needs-based discovery, managing RFP responses, and representing ACT at various industry events.
About You
Required:
- 3+ years of B2G, SaaS, or enterprise software sales experience.
- Proven ability to manage long, complex, relationship-based sales cycles.
- Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
- Strong relationship-management and consultative selling skills.
- Experience working with formal procurement and RFP processes.
- Willingness to travel within Texas, as needed.
Preferred:
- Texas property tax process knowledge (major plus).
- Experience working with Texas local governments or public-sector entities (counties, appraisal districts, tax offices).
- Familiarity with tax assessment and collection, appraisal, or government financial systems.
- Experience selling mission-critical or SaaS solutions.
