Summary
QE Solar is seeking a Solar Field Technician to join their team in Austin, TX. The role involves providing ongoing field services support to solar and battery storage systems to optimize performance and resolve equipment issues.
About the Role
As a Solar Field Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing system failures, performing preventative maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. You will assist with routine site inspections, support field teams with real-time solutions, and prepare service tickets and reports for site visits and emergency repairs.
About You
Required:
- High School or Technical School Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 0-2+ years of technical experience with solar projects, BESS, or other renewable systems.
Preferred:
- Experience working with 600v-1500v systems.
- Strong knowledge of NEC, IEEE, and current NFPA-70e requirements.
- Proficient with technology and computing programs/platforms.
- C&I/Utility Scale solar work experience.
- Experience with operations of solar sites and/or project maintenance and compliance.
