Summary
Apex Clean Energy is seeking a Solar Technician to join their Site Team at their utility-scale solar site in Coldwater, Michigan. The role involves testing, troubleshooting, and repairing solar inverters to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.
About the Role
As a Solar Technician, you will be responsible for the operation, inspection, and maintenance of solar field equipment, including inverters and tracker systems. You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, perform QA/QC inspections, and ensure compliance with safety programs. Daily tasks will vary, and you will report to the Facility Manager on site.
About You
Required:
- AAS or higher degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Journeyman electrician or equivalent.
- Previous experience in electrical circuits and assemblies testing or troubleshooting.
Preferred:
- NABCEP, NEC, NFPA, OSHA certifications.
- Drone Pilot FAA 107 certification.
- Technical knowledge of solar inverter operation.
- Inverter diagnostics repair.
- Tracker diagnostics repair.
