Cisco is seeking a Solutions Engineer - SLED to join their team in Zionsville, IN. The role involves providing high-level technical guidance and support to customers in the State, Local Government, and Education sectors.
About the Role
As a Solutions Engineer, you will act as a trusted advisor, collaborating with account executives to understand customer needs and develop tailored solutions. Your responsibilities will include relationship building, conducting technical discovery, and advocating for customers through the adoption of Cisco solutions. You will also execute proof-of-concept initiatives and create technical account plans while gaining insights into the SLED market's business economics.
About You
Required:
- Typically requires BS/BA (EE/CS) or equivalent work experience.
- 6+ years of related experience in technical sales or pre-sales roles with a proven track record of translating technical solutions into business value.
- Cisco product experience or relevant experience with key competitor offerings.
- Strong understanding of the customer business model and common financial difficulties.
Preferred:
- Experience in software sales, with iACV compensation elements a plus.
- Solid understanding of Switching, Wireless, Routing, Data Centers, Security, Collaboration, SDN, AI Technologies, and server virtualization.
- Excellent presentation skills to describe Cisco's Architectures and Business Value.
- Professional and expert-level certifications (CCIE) preferred.
