About the Role
As a Sourcing Specialist, you will lead the development of relationships with strategic suppliers, track emerging technologies, collaborate with engineering and product management teams, identify new suppliers, support buyers in sourcing, and manage obsolescence risk for key customer programs. You will also ensure effective onboarding of new suppliers and support the purchasing team as needed.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in sourcing or business development.
- Working understanding of computer electronics.
- Willing to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred:
- 5+ years of strategic sourcing and business development experience.
- Familiarity with AT Kearney’s purchasing chessboard.
- Experience with performing on-site supplier audits.
- Experience with product road mapping.
- Experience managing component obsolescence.
- Experience in business development.
