Summary
SAIC is seeking a Space Systems Advanced Development Chief Engineer to join their MSEIT team in El Segundo, CA. The role involves contributing to Systems Engineering and Integration activities for the next generation of space communication systems supporting Air Force Military Satellite Communications.
About the Role
As the Space Systems Advanced Development Chief Engineer, you will lead SE&I Futures technical baseline and technology development for space systems, maintain military satcom solutions architecture, support analysis of alternatives, and interface with satcom users and stakeholders. You will also develop new processes and tools, conduct technology assessments, and work closely with various teams in a collaborative environment.
About You
Required:
- An active TS/SCI/poly clearance is required.
- Bachelor of Science and twenty-five (25) years or more experience; Master of Science and twenty (20) years or more experience; 4 additional years of experience may be used in lieu of additional degrees.
- Experience with space-based communications systems and/or military or commercial satellite systems.
- Experience with technical requirements development, systems engineering, systems integration, and overseeing development contracts.
Preferred:
- Additional master’s degrees or PhD considered a plus.
- Experience with technology development and assessing simulation and prototype hardware and software.
