About You
- Successful completion of a pre-hire skills assessment.
- Excellent oral and written command of both source and target languages to obtain a 'Professional Proficiency' or Level 3 in the ILR scale, including specialized healthcare terminology.
- Ability to perform consecutive, simultaneous, and sight translation with high accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Certificate of completion from a 40-hr Professional Medical Interpreter course.
- Two years of experience working as an interpreter in healthcare settings.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interpretation or Translation, Languages, or Communications.
- National Certification as a Healthcare or Medical Interpreter from CCHI or NBCMI.
- Completion of a college-level medical terminology course.
- Knowledge of EPIC.
