About the Role
As a Medical Receptionist, you will welcome patients and visitors, schedule and confirm appointments, maintain patient accounts, ensure smooth patient flow, handle billing and payments, and collaborate with medical staff. You will also conduct patient satisfaction surveys and stay updated with medical and insurance legislation.
About You
Required:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical reception or similar role within the healthcare industry.
- Proficient in medical terminology, healthcare systems, and patient scheduling software.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly with patient records and billing.
- Knowledge of insurance processes and claims.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
Preferred:
- Proactive problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate needs and issues before they arise.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if needed.
- CPR certification is a plus.
