About the Role
As a Special Education Teacher, you will establish instructional goals aligned with Virginia state assessments, plan and adapt instruction for diverse learners, implement IEPs, and assess student progress. You will collaborate with a team to develop positive behavior support plans and communicate effectively with students and parents.
About You
Required:
Bachelor's or Master's Degree.
Certification by the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) in special education or adaptive curriculum.
Valid Virginia Driver's License.
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Active listening and emotional intelligence.
Ability to foster a positive school environment.
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Outlook).
