About the Role
As a Special Education Teacher, you will create and deliver differentiated instruction based on IEPs, monitor student progress, collaborate with therapists and families, and support classroom assistants. You will also foster communication and academic growth while ensuring a safe learning environment.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in special education or a related field.
- LBS1 K-12 endorsement through ISBE.
Preferred:
- 2 years of experience working with children 3 - 21 years old with developmental or intellectual disabilities.
- Experience with autism spectrum disorders.
- Knowledge of ISBE regulations around IEPs.
