About the Role
As a Special Education Teacher, you will develop and modify lessons to meet individual student needs, implement and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and address the unique needs of students with various disabilities. You will also facilitate communication with parents, utilize technology in instruction, and serve as a resource for general education faculty.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field.
- Valid Georgia Teacher Certification for area of specialization.
- 0-1 year of classroom experience.
Preferred:
- Experience with special education methodologies.
- Knowledge of IDEA and due process requirements.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
