About the Role
As a Special Needs Teacher Assistant, you will assist the teacher in implementing daily lesson plans, preparing classroom materials, and providing overall care for students, including personal hygiene needs. You will also support classroom management and may be required to drive school buses as assigned. The position requires active engagement with students and compliance with organizational policies.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to pass a background screening and drug test.
Preferred:
- Some college education.
- Minimum of one year of classroom experience working with persons with behavioral modification.
- CPR/First Aid Certification (will train to obtain certification).
