About the Role
As a Special Operations Cognitive Performance Specialist, you will be responsible for training and educating SOF personnel in cognitive, mental, behavioral, and emotional control skills. Your duties will include providing evidence-based training, assisting in mental performance matters, conducting literature reviews, and collaborating with HP staff to enhance performance development. You will also document work performed and maintain compliance with training requirements.
About You
Required:
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Secret Clearance or Top Secret Clearance, or the ability to obtain a clearance.
- Master’s degree in Human Performance, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Cognitive Science, Cognitive Neuroscience, Sport Sciences, Performance Psychology, Psychology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a cognitive performance practitioner or Sport Psychologist with military members or athletes.
- Certification in heart rate variability (HRV) training or willingness to obtain it within 12 months of hire.
- Ability to lift and manipulate loads up to 25 kilograms and meet physical demands of training with SOF.
Preferred:
- Prior military and/or SOF experience.
