Summary
Association for Individual Development is seeking a Specialist Accounts Receivable to join their team in Elgin, IL. The role involves managing various functions within the Finance Department, including general ledger close and accounts receivable management.
About the Role
As a Specialist Accounts Receivable, you will be responsible for monthly general ledger close, preparation of journal entries, posting payments for grants, client bank reconciliations, and maintaining accounts receivable records. You will also assist with audits and respond to staff inquiries regarding financial matters.
About You
Required:
- Bookkeeping/Accounting degree preferred or 2 years of professional experience.
- Knowledge of Accounts Receivable processes within the medical (Medicaid) and/or Social Security field.
Preferred:
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with computerized accounting systems.
- Experience in social services or medical accounting.
