About the Role
As a Special Education Paraprofessional, you will serve as an assistant in an identified instructional program, attending all school staff meetings and participating in professional development. You will work cooperatively with teachers and administrators, assist with student supervision, and maintain confidentiality regarding student information. Your responsibilities will also include providing feedback to the teacher and utilizing special skills within the school program.
About You
Required:
- An Associate Degree or higher from an accredited college with a GPA of 2.5 or higher, or 60 Semester/90 Quarter hours from an accredited college with a GPA of 2.5 or higher, or a high school diploma/equivalent with a passing score on the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment.
- Must maintain a valid Georgia certificate and possess a valid driver's license.
- Knowledge of and ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics.
Preferred:
- Experience in a licensed childcare environment.
- Ability to effectively use school technology including light typing and emailing.
