About the Role
As a Speech and Language Pathologist, you will conduct formal evaluations of students aged 3-21 to determine eligibility for speech and language services. You will develop and contribute to individualized education plans (IEPs), maintain accurate student records, and collaborate with other professionals to support student programs. The position requires travel between various educational locations and adherence to state and federal regulations.
About You
Required:- Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.
- Pennsylvania Department of Education Teaching or Educational Specialist Certification.
- American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence or Clinical Fellow Candidate.
- Current and acceptable clearances including Act 34, Act 151, Act 114, PDE6004, and Act 168.
Preferred:- School-based and pediatric experience.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills.
- Knowledge of typical and atypical speech and language development.
- Knowledge of instructional strategies for students with speech and language impairments.
- Knowledge of special education regulations and procedures.
