About the Role
As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will provide patient care based on physician referrals, coordinate clinical activities, document patient care in medical records, collaborate with clinical staff, and participate in departmental activities. You may supervise students and provide guidance to new employees and volunteers. The work environment includes hospitals, nursing homes, and outpatient sites, with potential home care responsibilities.
About You
Required:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association or eligibility to complete clinical fellowship year (CFY).
- Licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- AHA BLS-certified within six months of employment.
Preferred:
- Experience in site-specific level of care.
- One year of clinical experience for Home Health positions.
