Honeywell is seeking a Sr Director Engineering to lead engineering teams within their Electromagnetic Defensive Solutions (EDS) Mission Systems in Lansdale, PA. This key leadership position involves overseeing development programs and ensuring production readiness across the product portfolio.
About the Role
As the Sr Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for driving engineering performance, managing development programs, and ensuring successful execution of technical and production objectives. You will collaborate with various functions to optimize engineering processes, develop functional strategies, and contribute to business strategy and technology plans.
About You
Required:
- BS in Engineering or Physics
- 15 years of experience in the engineering discipline
- 10-12 years of experience leading multi-discipline engineering development teams in a high-tech manufacturing company
- Experience with Military and Commercial electronics design & manufacture
- Proven track record in driving engineering processes and continuous improvement
- Demonstrated ability to lead change and mentor personnel
- Active Secret clearance required or reachable within 9 months
Preferred:
- Master’s degree or 20+ years of experience in a technical specialty or management
- Experience managing engineering personnel across multiple locations
- Experience in program management
- Active SECRET security clearance
- Strong management operating system that facilitates communication
- Business acumen and knowledge of current and emerging practices in the industry
