Jacobs is seeking a Sr Mechanical HVAC Engineer to join their team, focusing on the Data Center market, with the opportunity to work from any location in the United States.
About the Role
As a Sr Mechanical HVAC Engineer, you will deliver innovative HVAC design solutions for Data Center clients. Your responsibilities will include performing field investigations, interfacing with clients and vendors, sizing and selecting equipment, and preparing construction design packages. You will be accountable for the schedule and technical quality of engineering tasks, working with a multi-discipline team to establish design criteria, develop calculations, and generate process drawings.
About You
Required:
- Ten (10) or more years’ experience in the design of HVAC systems.
- Professional Engineering License.
- Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to the design of HVAC systems.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Adaptability to work within a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
- Ability to lead a building mechanical team on a project and collaborate with other discipline team members remotely.
Preferred:
- Software experience in Revit, AutoCAD, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D.
- Experience in the design of plumbing/utility systems.
