RedBrick Staffing is seeking a Sr. Antibody Engineer to join their team in Orange County, CA. The role involves designing and engineering antibody molecules and supporting the discovery and optimization of bi- and multi-specific antibody formats.
About the Role
As a Sr. Antibody Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and engineering antibody molecules, optimizing their affinity, stability, immunogenicity, and developability. You will partner with downstream development teams to ensure preclinical and IND-enabling requirements are met, plan experiments, mentor team members, and analyze complex datasets. Additionally, you will communicate findings through presentations, IP filings, and external publications while promoting an open and innovative research culture.
About You
Required:
- Ph.D. in Protein Engineering, Molecular Biology, Structural Biology, or similar.
- 5+ years of industry antibody engineering experience.
- Experience bringing antibodies from Discovery to IND.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Preferred:
- Immunology and Inflammation experience.
- Familiarity with molecular biology and protein expression techniques.
- Experience with antibody optimization methods (i.e. humanization, affinity maturation, and/or format engineering).
- Experience with downstream, IND/FDA, and antibody therapeutic risk assessment/mitigation.
- Experience managing research projects.
