Salesforce is seeking a Sr. Capacity Planner to join their team in Bellevue, WA. The role involves ensuring capacity availability for Salesforce's critical services as they scale in the public cloud.
About the Role
As a Sr. Capacity Planner, you will work closely with Salesforce service owners to ensure they have the necessary capacity in public cloud environments. Your responsibilities will include synthesizing complex data sets, monitoring service capacity, communicating with service teams, automating workflows, managing capacity allocations, and staying updated on new cloud products and features.
About You
Required:
- A related technical degree required.
- 5+ years experience in operations, business intelligence, strategy, capacity planning, financial modeling, analytics, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience managing or implementing services on Public Cloud (AWS/GCP).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to tell stories with data in a clear and concise manner.
Preferred:
- Experience with using the AWS console to manage capacity reservations.
- Knowledge of SQL, Python, and Jupyter Notebooks.
- Experience presenting to technical and executive audiences.
- Fundamental understanding of infrastructure and architecture (i.e., containerization, databases, etc.).
- Experience with cloud infrastructure.
