Digital Realty is seeking a Sr. Director, Global Security Technology to join their team in a hybrid location of Boston, Dallas, or Ashburn. The role involves acting as a strategic advisor on security technology matters and leading the organization's physical security technology strategy.
About the Role
As the Sr. Director, Global Security Technology, you will direct the planning, execution, and delivery of global technical security projects, serve as the subject matter expert for technical security systems, oversee security technology operations, manage relationships with consultants, and spearhead initiatives to adopt AI and emerging technologies for physical security. You will also lead a global team, manage large budgets, and drive continuous improvement in security technology solutions.
About You
Required:
- Deep technical expertise in access control systems, video management platforms, perimeter security controls, and intrusion detection.
- Extensive experience in security technology architecture, programming, software lifecycle management, and project delivery.
- Proven ability to manage large budgets and lead teams of 30+ third-party contractors and consultants.
- Strong foundation in project and program management.
Preferred:
- Knowledgeable in AI-driven physical security solutions and technical design/engineering standards.
- Relevant certifications strongly preferred (e.g., CPP, PSP, CISSP).
- Exceptional leadership, people management, and mentoring capabilities.
