Summary
World Wildlife Fund (WWF) is seeking a Sr. Director, International Financial Institutions to coordinate their global strategy for engaging international financial institutions (IFIs) to increase investment in nature, based in Washington, DC.
About the Role
As the Sr. Director, International Financial Institutions, you will lead strategic relationships with Washington-based IFIs, manage partnerships to drive investments aligned with WWF's strategies, and implement global policy engagement strategies for Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs). You will also support the development of strategies to engage ministries of finance and identify opportunities for WWF's involvement in global finance and climate policy.
About You
Required:
- 10+ years of relevant experience with an advanced degree in international environmental or finance policy, or macroeconomics.
- Extensive network of relationships in Washington-based international financial institutions and/or ministry of finance.
- Strong program management skills including program design, people management, monitoring, and evaluation.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with government, private sector and civil society actors and institutions working on nature, climate and finance.
- Knowledge of IFI policies on nature and climate.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
