Lilly is seeking a Sr. Principal - Engineer – Automation (Oligonucleotide) to join their team in Houston, TX. The role involves leading the design and delivery of the DeltaV platform and associated software integration teams as part of Lilly’s manufacturing expansion.
About the Role
As a Sr. Principal Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for leading one or more project workstreams for the automation DCS function, including design, scheduling, staffing, and qualification in the Drug Substance network. You will collaborate with A&E firms, system integrators, and corporate engineering peers to develop and manage the DeltaV DCS system and software design, testing, startup, and qualification. This role will also support GMP manufacturing operations post-project delivery.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related applicable discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in Process Automation with experience on the Emerson DeltaV Platform.
- 5+ years of experience in API/Drug Substance manufacturing.
Preferred:
- Technical knowledge in process instrumentation.
- Experience with system integration including MES.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
